We have the great pleasure of welcoming an Italian guest teacher to our studio: Paky.
Paky is a highly experienced and much-loved tango teacher as well as a show dancer, known for his musical sensitivity, clarity in teaching, and strong stage presence.
On our Nuevo evening, he will lead a workshop on Tango Show elements, focusing on expression, dynamics, and creative freedom within the dance.
From 19:30 onwards, Paky will also guide us musically through the evening, inviting experimentation, playfulness, and exploration beyond familiar structures.
An evening for everyone who wishes to experience tango in an open, inspired, and creative way.

Why do we invite Paky to teach Tango Show Element as topic at TAN-Z?
At TAN-Z, Tango Show elements are not taught to turn social dancers into performers.
They are taught to deepen awareness, expression, and communication within the dance.
Tango Show techniques sharpen balance, precision, musical phrasing, and body control. When approached thoughtfully, they expand a dancer’s vocabulary and refine movement quality—without losing the essence of social tango: connection, listening, and embrace.
We work with show elements as tools, not as choreography.
They help dancers explore:
- clarity of leading and following
- dynamic changes in energy and timing
- confidence, posture, and presence
- playful creativity within structure
In a Nuevo and experimental context, these elements invite curiosity and exploration. Dancers learn how to adapt ideas safely and respectfully, choosing what serves their own tango and leaving the rest.
At TAN-Z, tradition and innovation are not opposites.
They are in dialogue.
By understanding Tango Show elements, dancers gain freedom through knowledge—and return to the social dance floor more grounded, expressive, and connected.
